The FETF grant 2025 is now open until 10th JULY 2025




What is the FETF grant ?


The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) is a grant program in England that provides funding to farmers, growers, and land managers to purchase

a)equipment and technology that improve farm productivity,

b) manage slurry, and

c) enhance animal health and welfare


The grants focus on productivity, sustainability, and protecting the environment - it's part of the broader Farming Investment Fund.


  • Successful applicants can receive grants ranging from a minimum of £1,000 to a maximum of £25,000 for each of the three areas above ( a-c) .


  • The grant is open to farmers, horticulturalists, forestry owners in England, and contractors working for farmers or growers, who are registered with the Rural Payments Agency (RPA)


  • Due to the competitive nature of the grant, it's recommended to apply early so that you can maximise your chance of this financial support to enable investment in your farming enterprise.


Which Aerworx products are eligible?

  1. FETF44 - The Aerworx Double Disc Direct Seed Drill


Percentage paid towards item: 50%

Item must:

  • be a direct drill

  • use either tines or discs to produce the seeding slot

  • have a 2.9 metres (m) minimum drilling width

  • place the seed in the seeding slot

  • drill through an established growing cover crop of at least 15 centimetres (cm) - must be demonstrated on cover crops other than grass

  • have a seed hopper with a capacity of at least 1,000 litres (L)

  • have precision metering capable of drilling between one kilogram (kg) to 300kg of seed per hectare

  • drill the full range of arable and cover crops including cereals, pulses and oil seeds

  1. FETF411 - The Aerworx Aerator


Percentage paid towards item: 40%


Item must:

  • be a grassland pasture aerator

  • have a 2.3m minimum working width

  • have a roller or cylinder design with hardened steel blades to create aeration slots

  • create aeration slots minimum 160mm deep

  • have capacity to carry additional weight to provide better blade penetration in dry conditions

  1. FETF 207 - Air drill for establishing cover crops : The Aerworx AS330


Percentage paid towards item: 50%

Item must:

  • be a pneumatic (air) drill

  • be designed to be mounted on existing drills or soil tillage equipment

  • have electronic metering

  • be able to drill small cover crop seeds - for example, clover, mustard, phacelia

  • use either pipes, coulters or spreader plates to place the seed

  • have a minimum 3m drilling width

  • have a seed hopper with a minimum 300L capacity
